It is with great sadness that the family of Aaron Dale Garman announces the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend in the early morning of Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

Aaron was the son of Clara and Edward Garman. Aaron was raised on a farm near Allan, and his love of mixed farming was a big part of his life. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 41 years, Barbara, and their 4 children; Rhonda (Terry) Balion, Kimberlee Garman, Kyle (Rochelle Brand) Garman, and Rachelle (Jason) Miller, his 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, also by siblings Karen (Chris) Hood; Rodney (Nancy Arseneau) Garman and Gary (Nicole) Garman.

Aaron will be sadly missed by his in-laws, second family, his neighbours, good friends and coffee row buddies.

Aaron started working at the Allan Potash Mine in 1978 and retired 38 years later in 2015. Aaron was also a member of the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA) for 20 years. He was instrumental in the transition and changeover to the Dundurn Grazing Association and retired from the board just 2 years ago.

Aaron met the love of his life, Barbara Trach in January 1981 and were married May 1, 1982. They started their family in 1982 in Zelma, Saskatchewan, and moved to their current farm in 1984 to continue farming with his father.

He is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Clara Garman, his sister Audrey Ziprick and his nephew Dale Empey.

Aaron enjoyed reading Westerns, watching the Toronto Blue Jays, and attending his children’s and grandchildren’s various sporting events. Aaron enjoyed small town living, and being a big part of the community.

Liturgy of the Word will be held at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 416 – 2nd Avenue, Allan, SK on Monday , August 21, 2023 at 11am., followed by Rite of Committal in St. Alousius Roman Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the STARS Foundation.

Cherished Memories Funeral Services is honoured to be entrusted with Aaron’s care.
