It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nettie (Aganetha) Johnson-Stobbe, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Nettie departed this life peacefully on August 28, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.

Born on October 5, 1936, on the Homestead east of Hague, SK, Mom was a radiant beacon of kindness and strength. As a loving mother to four cherished daughters—Terry, Colleen, Genny and Ramona, she devoted her life to nurturing and guiding us with unwavering affection and wisdom. Her legacy of compassion, resilience, and grace will forever remain in our hearts.

Mom had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel special. Her warm smile and caring nature brightened the lives of those who knew her. She was not only a pillar of her family but also a cherished friend to many. Her generosity, wisdom, and infectious laughter will be profoundly missed.

In addition to her daughters, Mom leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, husband, Ed Stobbe, siblings, Tina Miller, Corney Penner, Henry Penner, Agatha(Jake)Braun, Elizabeth(Peter) Friesen, sister’s- in- law, Ann Penner-Miller, Gertie Penner and Noreen Penner as well as a host of nephews, nieces and friends who were touched by her kindness. She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph Johnson, Mother, Maria Penner-Siemens, Father, David Penner, brothers, Abe, Jake, Peter, David, John and Bill and sisters, Mary, Margaret and Ann. A celebration of Nettie’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in Cherished Memories Funeral Chapel, 591 Centennial Drive North, Martensville, SK. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory and sharing stories of the wonderful impact she made on all of our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Saskatchewan Heart and Stroke Foundation, Saskatchewan Cancer Society, or Saskatoon Interval House, a cause close to her heart.

Though Nettie is no longer with us, her spirit will live on through the love she shared and the lives she touched. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
