It is with sadness and a deep sense of gratitude that we announce the death of Agatha (Warkentin) Wiebe on August 22, 2022 at home in the Villa at Bethany Manor, Saskatoon. She was 4 days short of her 102nd birthday, and died peacefully after her afternoon nap.

Mom was predeceased by her parents Peter and Helena Warkentin, her husband of 67 years, Henry, siblings Helen Olfert, Peter Warkentin, Abe Warkentin, and Gerard Warkentin, as well as numerous in-laws, sons-in-law Don Ferguson and Jim Milligan, and grandsons Shawn Ferguson and Brendan Unger. She is survived by siblings Anne Dyck, Tina (John) Bohn, Marie Houston, John (Kathy) Warkentin, and Gertrude Warkentin, sisters-in-law Elsie Warkentin, Helen Warkentin, and Tina Warkentin, and by her children Margaret (Gerald) Neufeld, Linda Unger, Marie Ferguson, Alfred (Sharon) Wiebe, Rudy Wiebe, Eileen Klaassen, Bernie (Marie) Wiebe, Erika Wiebe, Trudy (Dennis Harrigan) Wiebe, and Dave Wiebe, and by 15 grandchildren and spouses, and 22 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at the Bethany Villa, for their kind, compassionate care for mom in the past ten months. She often spoke of how loved she felt, and she returned that love. We could not have asked for better care for mom.

A Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving will be held on Saturday, October 8th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Mount Royal Mennonite Church, 610 Avenue O North, Saskatoon, SK. Interment to be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1502 2nd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to have cared for Mrs. Wiebe and her service arrangements.
