Alan Edward Anderson

July 14, 1973 — January 22, 2025

It is with profound sadness that the family announce the sudden and unexpected passing of a son, a brother, an uncle, a father, and a friend.

Alan was born in Kamloops, BC, and was the youngest of 3 children. He moved to Saskatoon when he was twelve and made it his home until his passing. He loved to fish, camp, be in the mountains, boat, and he had a deep desire to be back in nature. He also had a passion for mechanics and was often the guy whom people called to fix whatever was broken. He was a very smart man, and he loved to showcase his skills, He enjoyed tinkering in a garage, and often spoke of starting his own business.

His biggest love in his life was his little boy, Buddy, and he spoke daily of this love and his desire to teach and share all his dreams and passions with him.

Alan was a drywaller by trade and always took great pride in his work, especially when he was able to pass along what he knew. “Tricks of the trade,” he called them.

Alan, you will be deeply missed by all those who loved you, and there were many. Your giant heart was always so giving, your funny personality always ready to make a joke, especially when life felt hard. Alan was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his mother Edith Saccucci; his sister Sherry Anderson (Jeff Pickering); his nephew Kalem Anderson (Rochelle), and great nephew Theodore; his niece Briana Anderson (Brittney), and great niece Emmersyn; his daughters Celeste Anderson, Britney Anderson, and Alia McBain; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by his father Alan Bernard Anderson, and his sister Lori Anderson.

The family would like to thank Saskatoon Paramedics and Saskatoon Police Service for their care and efforts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mental Health and Addiction Services.

A gathering of family and friends will take place Friday, February 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Cherished Memories Funeral Services, 591 Centennial Drive North, Martensville, SK.

“Beyond the grip of sadness and addiction, there was a beautiful soul worthy of love and remembrance. We shall not define him but let the true essence of who he was live on far beyond the struggles he faced.”
