Allan Harvey Klassen

March 15, 1949 — November 24, 2023

We are saddened to announce the passing of our father and brother, Allan Harvey Klassen, who passed away suddenly on November 24, 2023.

Al was predeceased by his parents Cornelius and Ann Klassen, sister Gloria Klassen, and his former wife Brenda.  Al will be remembered and honoured by his two sons, Trevor (Karissa) and Scott (Sarah), his 7 siblings – Dennis (Audrey), Stanley, Larry, Patricia, Jim (Shari), Sid (Pam), and Cory (Renee). As well as his two grandchildren – Miller Klassen (Trevor) and Cal Klassen (Scott).

Al was born March 15, 1949, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and spent his childhood playing hockey and fastball. As Al would state, he was always the BEST. He spent his high school years as a student at Bedford Road Collegiate. He was also a loyal employee to the City of Saskatoon Transit Company as a transit operator.

Al was a strong athlete being a goal tender in hockey for many years. He passed his passion for sports onto his sons, Trevor and Scott. His boys spent many days, nights, and weekends on the ball diamond and Al made sure he never missed a game. He watched them grow into phenomenal players that led them both to scholarships in the states, and you best believe, Al never missed an opportunity to boast about his boys. If you wanted to talk to Al about sports, he would never miss an opportunity to banter about Toronto Blue Jays or the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Being the oldest of his family, Al was very devoted to his parents in their late years. He spent countless hours taking care of them, spending as much of his time with them, and making sure they had everything they needed.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at Martens Warman Funeral Home, 402 Central Street West, Warman, SK. Interment to follow.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with the care of Allan Klassen.
