It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Braun, at the age of 80 years, on June 23, 2023.
Anne was born on April 2, 1943, to Jacob and Maria Harder, and was one of 16 children.
Anne is survived by her loving husband John Braun; children Brian McLeod and Dwayne Braun; grandchildren Samantha, Connery, Chris, Jordan, Bailey and Chiara; siblings Jacob (Nettie) Harder, Justina (Peter) Guenter; Abraham (Sarah) Harder, Eva (Peter) Giesbrecht, Norah (Robert) Halliday, Gertrude Klassen, and Sarah (Tom) Popoff; sister-in-law Laura Harder.
She was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Maria Harder; one pre-term baby, siblings Maria (Jake) Fehr, Susan (Henry) Fehr, Aganetha (Corny) Giesbrecht, Jacob Harder, Margaret (Abe) Doerksen, Johan (Laura) Harder, Helen (Neil) Friesen and Henry Harder; and brother-in-law Victor Klassen.
Anne married John Braun in 1970, and together they had three children. She was employed at the Coaldale Hospital as a chef for 17 years. Then later, she worked at Sunnyside Bible Camp for 11 years, in the kitchen.
Anne got to know Christ later in life. She developed a deep love for the Lord and was very open with talking about her faith, to all who would listen. She will be missed, but she is at peace with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
