Anna was born in Durango, Mexico on March 1st, 1937, to Abram and Anna Hilderbrandt. Anna met Abram in 1954. They were married on June 15, 1956, in Saskatoon by J.J. Thiessen. They shared life’s joys and sorrows for 42 years. Anna worked at the Co-Op in Saskatoon for a few years before starting a family. Anna and Abram made their home in Saskatoon, Neuhorst, and later in Warman, and finally back to Saskatoon.
Abram was in the hospital fighting heart disease at the same time Anna was taking chemo for cancer. Anna asked Abram if she should get the operation to remove the cancer as she didn’t want to leave him. Abram said you need to do this for the kids, I will be alright. Abram passed shortly after that, Anna got the operation and survived for 26 more years.
Anna was predeceased by her parents, Abram and Anna Hilderbrandt: two brothers, two sisters, three brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law.
Anna leaves to mourn her passing, her loving children. Two daughters, Susan (Murray) and Marta (Barry). Two sons, Ben and Don (Shelly). Grandchildren, Jen (Jerry), Trevor (Jen). Two great-grandchildren, Chryslyne and Austin. Two great-great-grandchildren, Brayden and Jésus. Six sisters, three brothers, two sisters-in-law, and three brothers-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saskatoon Cancer Society.
Anna’s Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30th, 2024, in the chapel of Martens Warman Funeral Home, 402 Central Street West, Warman, SK.
