On, Thursday, August 22nd, 2024, Arthur (Art) Jake Bergen made his journey from his earthly home to his Heavenly one. He left this world with the same quiet dignity, inner strength, integrity, and peacefulness that he lived his life, surrounded by the warmth and love of family.
He was so proud of his family and the character that they exhibit, their growing faith, and their devotion to their own families and spouses. In every one of his children and grandchildren, he often commented to anyone who would listen, on how proud he was of their character traits, family values, work ethic, and strong moral code. He always said how truly blessed he felt he was. He was filled with fatherly love and pride for each one of them.
He taught his children by being a good example of what an honest, loyal, dedicated husband, father and grandfather should be. We will miss him so much but find peace and solace in the knowledge that we will all be together again one day.
He leaves a legacy of love and memories that will be treasured always by his wife Darlene whom he lovingly shared 49 years with, his sons Jerry (Shannon), Russell (Nina), Terry, and daughter Connie (Chris), 15 wonderful grandchildren: Mitchell, Keaton, Cameron, Liam, Shaylee, Quinn, Aiden, Kate, Danica, Carter, Kenzie, Cyron, Grayson, Jacob, Elizabeth, his sister Alice (Leo), 6 sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law, several nieces and nephews and their families, and many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by both parents, 2 sisters, daughter-in-law Krista, granddaughter Hannah, 1 sister-in-law, and 5 brothers-in-law.
A private family funeral service was held on August 28, 2024.
Martens Warman Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care and arrangements for Arthur (Art) Bergen.
