Barbara Karpow

Barbara Anne Karpow passed away in the loving arms of Jesus August 6, 2024. Barbara was born December 19,1952 to George and Anne Karpow. She was born with Down’s Syndrome and enjoyed life to the fullest in her own way. Barbara grew up on the farm with her cousins Burton and Eleanor next door. She attended John Dolan school 1960-1974. She started working at Cosmopolitan Industries following school. In 1975, her parents sold the farm and moved to Saskatoon. Barbara continued to work at Cosmopolitan until her passing. She enjoyed her work and especially the bus ride to and from work. The family will forever be grateful for the impact Cosmopolitan Industries had on Barbara’s life.

Barbara attended Circle Drive Alliance and valued her time in the Bethany class. Barbara lit up anytime there was a family gathering especially at Fuddruckers. Barbara had a special bond with her Aunt Mary Matiko throughout her entire life.

In December 2013, Barbara moved to Circle Drive Care home. This was her home. Barbara would say take me home after her meal with family.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents George and Anne Karpow, her paternal and maternal grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.

The family wishes to thank Dr Kurt Roelens, staff of Circle Drive personal care home for their special attention, love and care for her and for everyone else who showered her with love.

Burial will take place at Hillcrest Saturday August 10, 2024 at 11:00 am. 

Memorial service will be at 10:30 am Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Martens Funeral home Warman. The service will be available to view online at
