With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Barbara M. Flahr, on Friday, December 23, 2022, at the age of 90. She passed away peacefully with her husband Frank at her side. Barbara was born in Primate, SK. She graduated from Nursing in 1955, from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Humboldt SK. and later, Psychiatric Nursing in North Battleford, SK. in 1958.
Barbara was a nurse, an accomplished seamstress, a gardener, and a devoted wife, Mother and Grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, baking and family get togethers.
Preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Joseph Stang, sister Louise Stang, two brothers, Jacob and Herman Stang. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Frank Flahr, daughter Susan Jacobucci and husband Duane Gaudry, son Greg Flahr, daughter Lois Royer and husband Marc Royer, grandchildren Jeffrey Sautner, Patrick Sautner and Melanie Royer, great-grandchildren Gabriel and Peyton Sautner, siblings Josephine Bersheid, Lucy Wood, Catherine Bichel, Mary Stang, Anne Stang, Alexander Stang, Margaret Cook and several in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Barb and Frank’s caring neighbours for helping maintain their yard over the years, and would like to thank Diamond House in Warman for the wonderful care given.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6th, 2023, 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Cathedral, 720 Spadina Crescent East, Saskatoon, SK., led by Father Steven Penna.
