It is with heavy hearts that our family announces that Olaf “Casper” (Cas) Waldal Jr., born December 7, 1934, in Lake Alma, Sask. passed away in Saskatoon, Sask. on December 21, 2020, at the age of 86.
Cas will be deeply missed by his children: son Kelly (Susan); grandchildren Dane, Brett, Avery (AJ) (Danielle), Amy: Daughter Cindy (Mike) Bartlett; grandchildren Josh (Shannon) (great-granddaughter Ella-Mae); Elisha (Manuel) Lopez (great-grandchildren; Kal-El, Denzel, Jor-El and Micaela); Jamin, Candace and Jared: Son Kevin (Karen); grandchildren Quinn (Stephen) Hanna (great-grandson Henry), Austin: Daughter Colleen (Ian) Hodges; grandchildren, Gareth, Sian and Megan: his sisters Ione and Inis and a large extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Cas was predeceased by his wife, Lorette Martin Waldal; daughter Wendy Anne; parents, Olaf and Anna Waldal; siblings Joyce, Owen, Mervin, Elton, Thor, Ken, Wally, Sylvia, Estelle, Thorine, Mavis, and Janice.
Always the consummate practical jokester and entertainer of children, Cas will be remembered for his dedication to family, unwavering support of amateur sports, love of golf and lifelong Rider fan.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Luther Special Care Home for their love and care for Casper.

A Celebration of Life has been planned for:
Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 935 McCarthy Blvd, Regina, SK. Interment to follow on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Cemetery, City of Weyburn. Hillcrest Cemetery is located on 35 Highway, on the southern outskirts of the City of Weyburn.
