With heavy hearts, we gather to honor and remember the beautiful life of Cheryl McCallum, who was born on August 16th, 1987, and who sadly left us on March 14th, 2025, at the age of 37. Cheryl's vibrant spirit and unwavering love touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish Cheryl's memory is her loving partner, Thomas Grant Ballantyne, and her adored children, Thomas Jr. (TJ), Chara, Sharae, Xander, Isabella, and Maya. Her joy multiplied with the birth of her grandson, Zayne, who brought immense happiness to her life.
Cheryl was also a beloved sister to Kristen McCallum and a caring sibling to her brother, Callien Merasty. The warmth of her parents, Bruce and Rosie McCallum, was a constant source of strength in her life. She leaves behind a cherished extended family, including her in-laws Betsy (Dwayne) Ballantyne and Hilliard (Carmen) Sewap, as well as numerous sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, aunties, uncles, and countless treasured nieces and nephews.
Cheryl was predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Elma and Pete McCallum, and Marcel (McNab) and Isabelle McKay, along with her brother-in-law Hilliard Jr. (Bones) and numerous other family members. Their memories will forever remain in our hearts.
We invite all who knew and loved Cheryl to celebrate her life. Viewing will take place on Sunday, March 16th, 2025, at 11:00 am at Cherished Memories Funeral Home, located at 591 Centennial Dr. North, Martensville, Saskatchewan.
A wake service will follow at 5:00 pm on the same day at Flying Dust First Nation, Saskatchewan, and another gathering will be held on Monday, March 17th, 2025, at Beauval Hall in Beauval, SK.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Mary Magdalene Church, located at 911 Beaver Avenue, Beauval, Saskatchewan, with officiant Fr. Francis Reddy Mondeddu, MSFS.
Cheryl's legacy will be honored by the pallbearers and honorary pallbearers, including the Ballantyne, McCallum, McKay, Aubichon, Laliberte, Sewap families, along with Roxanne Beaverbone, Brianna Lafond, and all who cherished her presence.
Cheryl will find her final resting place at Beauval Communal Cemetery, where her memory will forever remain a beacon of love in our lives. Let us rejoice in the remarkable life she lived and hold her spirit close to our hearts.
