Clifford Elian, often referred to as Cliff, a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, cousin, and uncle passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024, at the age of 69. Cliff was born on August 29, 1954, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to Peter and Dora Elian, where he was welcomed by his older brother and three older sisters. Cliff’s childhood was woven into the fabric of the countryside, where he and his siblings, alongside their cousins, dedicated countless hours to farming. Their days were filled with the rustic charm of farm life, often punctuated by the adventures and mischief that bonded them forever.
He was a farmer, business owner, real estate agent, and most of all – salesman, which is a role he held up until his passing. Known affectionately as the ‘Gentle Giant’ by his friends, Cliff was a man of considerable heart, who often gave those close to him nicknames. His laughter and warm smile will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.
A family man at heart, Cliff enjoyed time spent with his loved ones, whether it was a casual BBQ, backyard hangout, or gathering around the television in the basement for sports (mostly football). He will be fondly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Brenda; dogs Max and Mickey; surviving children Kyle (Kim), Shantel, and Kailey (Justin); grandchildren Krista, Brody, Keely, Kayla, Angel, and Jackson; mother-in-law Evelyn; siblings Ken (Lis), Mavis, Ivy, and Karen (Peter); and many cousins. Cliff is predeceased by his parents Peter and Dora, father-in-law Melvin, daughter Amy, and many aunts and uncles.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 8, at the Crocus Vale Cemetery in Arelee, Saskatchewan, fulfilling his wish to be laid to rest with his parents.
Martens Warman Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care and arrangements for Clifford Elian.
