Courtney "Oscar" Kelsey Herman

Courtney "Oscar" Kelsey Herman, born on August 19, 1976, in a world that shone a little brighter with his presence, passed away on September 16, 2024 He touched countless lives with his warm spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for family and friends.

Courtney was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Leanne, whom he cherished deeply. Their union was a testament to partnership, filled with joy, adventures, and a shared commitment to their beautiful children. He was a proud father to Kyler, Kalen, Kyen Beaudin, Lily, and Rose Moore, as well as Colby and Cadee Janvier. 

As a loving son, Courtney found solace and strength in his mother, Lucille Herman (Bill), whose guiding hand helped shape the man he became. He shared a deep bond with his siblings, Iris, Kristen, and Lyle, whose love and camaraderie enriched his life in immeasurable ways.

Courtney's passion and affection extended beyond the human family. His beloved pets, Sparky, Sky, and Utin, brought joy and companionship into his daily life. 

He fostered close relationships with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, each of whom contributed to the rich tapestry of love and support that surrounded him. Though he mourned the loss of his beloved dad, Victor Herman, and cherished memories of his grandparents, Suzanne & Ernest Herman and Cecile & Joseph Herman, Oscar never wavered in his dedication to honor their legacies through love and kindness.

With a heart that reached far beyond the immediate, Courtney also remembered his departed cousins—Marvin, Evan, Madison, Kurtis, Jesse, and Kalwyn—who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. Their absence left a void, but those memories continued to weave a sense of family that transcended the earthly realm.

Funeral Service will start at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024 at the Our Lady of Visitation Roman Catholic Church in La Loche, SK. Officiated by Fr. Maria Robert, SDM. Following the Funeral Service, Courtney's interment will take place at the La Loch Cemetery.
