It is with profound sadness that the family of Darlene Dorothy Crapley of Saskatoon, SK announce her passing on November 16, 2021. Mom was born September 15, 1945, in Moose Jaw, SK to George and Dorothy Wiese. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Raymond (2017).

Mom is survived by her children, Daniel Crapley (Patti), Gordon Crapley, Julie Kemp (Gordon), her grandchildren, Morgan Plummer (Andrew), Madison Crapley (Logan Domotor), Kimberlee Laflar (Curtis), Christopher Crapley, Zachary Kemp and Joshua Kemp, her great-grandchildren, Kacie and Carson Laflar and her two brothers, Earl Wiese (Sharon) and Ray Wiese.

Mom’s love for children was extraordinary and she took great pride in her many years as a wonderful and caring private childcare provider. She was so creative and talented and loved to crochet, draw, work with ceramics, sew, bake, cook, play cards and in her younger days bowl, golf and enjoy family gatherings at Turtle Lake. Mom was a kind and thoughtful person who never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She never hesitated to voice her opinion and she also did not hesitate to let you know how much she loved and appreciated everyone in her life. Her door was always open and her children and their friends knew that her house was a safe haven with plenty of homemade goodies and snacks for everyone.

We take solace knowing that Mom passed surrounded by her family who loved her very much and will miss her presence always.

At her request, a funeral will not be held. There will be a small family gathering next spring to lay her to rest.

Arrangements entrusted to Martens Warman Funeral Home (306) 934-4888.
