Dave passed away very suddenly on June 2nd, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 58 years Delores, along with their three children, two beautiful grandsons, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Dave was born in Theodore, Sask. on December 20th, 1944. He grew up in the town of Insinger alongside his 4 older brother’s Severin, Zabian, Eugene, and Steve. The boys were raised under the watchful, loving eye of their mother Maria (Essar) Rusnak.

In the summertime the family enjoyed exploring most of western Canada camping and fishing in their truck camper. After retiring from Canada Post he and Delores enjoyed exploring in their motorhome or, on occasion, relaxing on board a cruise ship. At home Dave could be found reading the latest murder mystery novel or, more likely, cheering on his favorite hockey (Toronto Maple Leafs and the P.A. Raiders) and football (Saskatchewan Roughriders) teams accompanied by one of his beloved furry companions.
