David passed away January 21, at the age of 61, in Sherbrook Community Center. David attended Churchill School and later completed a cooking course at Kelsey in Saskatoon. He loved to run, often running many miles. He rode his bike as well until mobility became a problem. David loved to be with family and loved spending time at Emma Lake. He usually spent a month in September at Emma Lake with his parents. He was a great cook!
David loved the simple things in life, like a steaming cup of coffee. He was predeceased by his brother Paul Rene in 1973, his father PJ Rivard in 2017, and in 2019 his mom Marlys Jean. He is survived by his brother, Philip in Ontario, sister, Michelle (Lyle) Mason of Candle Lake, Lindsay Mason (Matt Reichle), Caeley & Avery Burtney; Erin (Spencer Earnshaw) Mason, Paul Mason (Danna) of Saskatoon. Nicole Mason, Alia Mason, Ashlynn Mason, & Peyton Mason; sister, Janine Rivard (John Westervelt) of Moose Jaw, Denae (Colby Elford), Emmett & John; Kamera Willett (Michael Bell), & Birdie Bell.
He loved his family and was always content to visit. Sherbrooke Community Center became his home 8 years ago It was a beautiful place to be cared for!
A Celebration of Dave’s life was held January 28, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at Cherished Memories Funeral Chapel, 591 Centennial Drive N, Martensville, SK. For anyone unable to attend the service a livestream link has been set up at https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/68042
