Dean Emerson Janvier, born on March 16, 1968, was a cherished soul who graced this world for 56 years before passing on October 13, 2024. He was a beacon of love and laughter, whose impact on all who knew him will echo through the hearts of his family and friends.
Dean was the beloved son of Celina and Tobie Janvier, who have welcomed him into eternal peace, as well as the dear brother to Wilbert (Snoopy) Janvier, who now watches over him. Dean's family continued to grow, encompassing numerous sisters and brothers. He shared unbreakable bonds with his sisters: Lorraine (Russell), Gladys (Terrance), Mommy Joan, and Katie, as well as his brothers, Stewart (Collette) and Vern (Cindy). Together, they formed a family united in love, support, and countless shared memories. He also held his sister-in-law, Rita Janvier, close to his heart.
Dean's joy extended beyond his immediate family, as he embraced all of his beloved nieces and nephews—Nissa (Aaron), Jesse, Cinta, and Hannah. The tapestry of his life included a vibrant collection of nieces and nephews: Jeanine, Aday, Russell Jr., Lorena, Robert, Gavin, Tooty, Blake, Keistin, Cynthia, Willie, Willis, Willia, Juanita, Kianna, Shawn, Nathan, Kirstie, Al, Tayla, Kylen, Katelyn, Keliesha, Kenyon, and Khya-Celina. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and were undoubtedly touched by his unique spirit. Additionally, he took great pride in his numerous great nieces and nephews, enriching his life even further.
His extended family included numerous aunties and uncles, who admired his tenacity and humor, always drawing warmth from the connections he fostered with them. Dean’s network of love reached far and wide, encompassing special family friends such as Haba Keith, Hama Brenda, Janel, Juanita, Jonovan, and the Kokan family, each of whom he considered part of his clan.
In addition to family, Dean treasured his friendships; he surrounded himself with a remarkable circle of special friends including Dawn, Lolly, Bobby-James, Cheryl Herman, Girli, Alfie, and many others, all of whom experienced his generous spirit, kindness, and infectious laughter.
Dean's legacy is one of love, strength, and resilience. He brought people together, creating moments that will forever be held close in the hearts of those who cherished him. His life, filled with warmth and compassion, will be celebrated and remembered fondly by the countless lives he touched throughout his journey. As we navigate the profound sadness of his passing, we are reminded of the beauty he brought into the world and the lasting memories he leaves behind.
Dean's Wake Service starts on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Joan Janvier's residence. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Our Lady of Visitation Roman Catholic Church in La Loche, SK. Interment to follow at the La Loche cemetery.
