June 11, 1959 – August 16, 2023
It is with profound sadness that the family announces Dean’s passing on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the age of 64.
Dean will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife Anita and his three sons, Mitchell, Mark, and Ryan.
Dean grew up on the family farm near Guernsey, Saskatchewan. At the age of 17, he left the family farm and worked for a paving company in Alberta. He returned shortly after to farm and work at the Lanigan Potash Mine. In 1985, Dean started his construction company, which today is known as DeAnta Construction. In 1986, Dean married the love of his life, Anita. In 1990, Dean received his Journeyman Interprovincial Heavy-Duty Mechanics. In 1991, Dean and Anita welcomed their first son Mitchell, followed by Mark in 1995, and Ryan in 1997. Dean managed and operated the business and enjoyed maintaining his fleet of heavy equipment. Over the span of Dean’s successful 38-year career, he worked on numerous projects across the Province of Saskatchewan. Projects including area grading, road construction, sewer & water, site development, and forest fire fighting.
Family was everything to Dean, he always made time for family vacations, birthdays, anniversaries, and just spending time with his family. Dean enjoyed winters spent in Arizona with his family, working on his 1970 Camaro, camping, boating, and his love for country music. Dean’s integrity, honesty, kindness, patience, and humor are just a few of the qualities that will be missed by his loving family.
Dean is predeceased by his father, Orval Snider, father-in-law John Carey, mother-in-law Eleanor Carey, survived by his mother Agnes Snider, his siblings Betty-Ann (Len) Bushman, Brian (Lori) Snider, Gary Snider, Grant (Donna) Snider, Joanne (Lawrence) Schroeder, Christa (Dan) Dyck, June Kuss, Allan (Corinne) Carey, and many nieces & nephews.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with the care and arrangements for Dean Clifford Snider.
