Debbie Ann Chapple

May 3, 1954 — July 30, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie and friend; after battling Alzheimer’s and Lewy Body Dementia. Debbie Ann Chapple passed away peacefully on July 30, 2023, at Oliver Lodge.

Debbie lived her life as a deeply devoted wife, amazing mother to her three children and a devoted grandmother to 8 grandchildren who she loved more than life itself, she loved having her family close. She had an amazing smile and an exceptional heart. Debbie was born in Saskatoon, where she spent her early childhood years roaming the streets of Saskatoon with her 7 siblings. Betty (Dennis) Ernst, Dale (Dawn) Weber, Wayne (Cindy) Weber, Ken (Rhoda) Weber, Suzy (Alvin) Busby, Karen (Stu) McLean, Terri-Marie Weber. When Debbie was 10, they moved to a farm near Grandora. She married Floyd in 1972 and lived on their family farm. She enjoyed gardening, bingo, canning, salsa making, baking, phone calls with friends, reading, fishing, entertaining and playing cards. She was someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was important — the simplicity of living a life with those you love. Her kindness, generous heart and unselfish spirit will be deeply missed by all those she shared this life with.

In 2018, she was diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia, she continued with life strong as she ever was. In November of 2022, she moved into the hands of many caregivers in long term care. Debbie’s loving heart, farm strength, and busy nature made her well-known and a very cherished resident. Our family gives thanks to her caregivers and supports at Warman Diamond House, North Saskatchewan Dementia Assessment Unit and Oliver Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents Lina and Ralph Weber, her sisters; Terri-Marie Weber, Suzy Busby, and daughter-in-law Lora Chapple

Debbie was and always will be treasured and deeply missed by her loving husband Floyd Chapple; and her three children: Chris (Lori Lewis) Chapple of Grandora, Sk., Michelle (Cory) Hubick of Pike Lake, Sk., Tracy (Mac) Currie of Delisle, Sk

Debbie was so proud and adored her grandchildren; Tara, Josh, Carrie, and Cole Chapple, Kelsie and Reece Hubick, Victoria and Ella Currie and beloved pet Penny.
