Derrick Norman Oberhofer

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Derrick Norman Oberhofer. Derrick was born on September 14, 1988 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Norman and Melanie Oberhofer. 

Derrick grew up in Saskatoon and attended St. Volodymyr School and St. Joseph High School, graduating in 2006. Derrick immediately entered the University of Saskatchewan and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce in 2010. He received his CPA (CA) designation in 2014. His first position out of college was working for Virtus Group Chartered Accountants before obtaining his current position as Chief Financial Officer for Dyna Industrial Company, a position he held until his passing. 

While attending university, Derrick worked at the Erindale McDonalds as his part time job. While working there, a young blonde trainee named Camille caught his eye. Camille and Derrick were married on July 21, 2012. Their marriage blessed them with three amazing children, Henrik born in 2015, Stefan born in 2017 and Amelia born in 2019. They have lived and raised their children in Warman since 2012. 

Derrick had many passions in his life, cheering on his beloved Boston Bruins and Roughriders, but his biggest passion was hunting with his father. They spent many years hunting at the family farm in St Walburg, Sask. Derrick learned many life lessons during those trips, that he has relayed to his own children. 

He will be deeply missed by his wife Camille (Regier) Oberhofer, children Henrik, Stefan, Amelia, his parents, Norman and Melanie Oberhofer, his sister Amanda Buchinski (Mike) Mother and Father-in-law Kelly and Mark Regier, brother-in-law Wade Regier (Ashley), Niece Everette and Nephew Wells. 

The Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Martens Warman Funeral Home, 402 Central Street West, Warman Sask.

In honor of Derrick, please feel free to wear your favorite Rider, Bruins, or sports team jerseys.

A private interment will take place following the ceremony.
