Doreen Agnes Whiting

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Doreen Whiting, on August 6, 2021, at the age of 75 years in Saskatoon, ,SK.

Her soul has left her body, but her spirit hasn’t left our lives. She’s in the way I’m obsessed with my dog as you can see in this picture, a pillow looking like her dog! Haha

She’s in the “slop” I make on my shirt every morning at breakfast. She’s in my choice to have “weird hair colours” as my cousin puts it. She’s in the turkey dinner my aunt will make at holidays.

She’s in the “let’s just have burgers! Easy peasy!” My cousin and dad will suggest oppose to the turkey dinner. She’s in the holiday pinwheel cookies I’ll try to bake.

She’s in every bouquet of flowers I give and receive. She’s in the beautiful flower beds my aunt will create each summer.

She’s in my sister every time she’ll say “babas the boss.” She’s in my dad with every stubborn decision he sticks to. She’s in the sweet new baby my cousin had and will be in the new ones who join us earth side.

She’s left her body earth side, but we’ll feel her around us every day in those little things we often take for granted.
