Douglas Harvey Park

May 5, 1952 — February 22, 2024

Our beloved spouse, father, and papa passed away peacefully with family by his side on February 22nd, 2024. Douglas was born in Shellbrook, SK to Betty and Harvey Park. He attended school in Shellbrook and went on to the University of Saskatchewan, where he met Marcie Brosinsky on a blind date involving a giant pizza. Marcie and Doug were married on July 7th, 1973, in Saskatoon, SK. In 1976, they moved to Neilburg, SK, where he taught at the Neilburg Composite School for 35 years. Together, they enjoyed camping, golfing, and gardening with their three children, creating many cherished memories. In 2018, Marcie and Doug retired to Warman, SK to be closer to their grandchildren. Doug’s joys in life were his 9 grandchildren, 3 grandpets, reading, and his garden tomatoes.

Doug will be remembered lovingly by his wife of 50 years, Marcie (Brosinsky); his 3 children, Renee (Earl) Zimmerman, their children Brooke, Jarek, Sienna, and Ryker; Lea (Brenen) Polkinghorne, their children Sam and Jackson; Brett (Danielle) Park, their children Zaeya, Logan, and Nash; his brother Don (Marlene) Park; sister-in-law Geraldine (Jerome) Dieser; and brother-in-law Kevin (Annette) Brosinsky. Doug was predeceased by his parents Betty and Harvey Park.

A special thanks goes out to Dr. Sherry Galasso for her wonderful care and support of Doug and his family throughout the years.

Donations in memory of Doug can be made to the ALS Society.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, at 2:00pm at Martens Warman Funeral Home, 402 Central Street West, Warman, SK. Coffee and dainties will follow at the Warman Senior’s Drop-in Centre, 422 Peters Street, Warman, SK.
