Our family’s personal prayer warrior has gone home to be with Jesus on Oct 17th, 2023. We are very sad to see her go, but glad she has no more pain. She prayed for each one of us, cared deeply how things were going, and even prophesied words of wisdom.
The girls will miss all our shopping trips, lunches, and the fun we shared. She will be so missed and are thankful for all the years we had her. Evelyn was raised first in Pilot Butte and then Prince Albert and graduated from Nursing at Saskatoon City Hospital in 1957. She married Walter Boldt after nursing for about a year in Estevan. In 1960 they had a daughter, Shelley on Christmas Day.
In 1962 Walter passed away at the young age of 35. She was also predeceased by her parents, Emil & Bertha Hein, her sister Hilda Karst, and her brother Albert Hein.
Evelyn nursed for 35 years, mostly at City Hospital. Shelley & Evelyn took annual trips to Kelowna and Regina to visit her sisters.
We wish to thank the staff for her excellent and heartfelt palliative care at St. Paul’s Hospital.
She didn’t always have an easy life, but she had a beautiful life. She followed the path God lead her in. Her family meant the world to her. We feel grateful to have been supported by this strong godly woman and her legacy will impact many generations. She is survived by Shelley & Edwin Klassen, grandchildren Dyllon Klassen (Avery), Whitney Klassen, Austin Klassen, and her sister Betty McRae.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 12:30 pm, Friday, Oct 27, 2023, at the chapel (Entrance E) in Elim Church, 419 Slimmon Road, Saskatoon, SK.,
Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with the care and arrangements of Evelyn Boldt.
