Elsie Anne Bueckert

September 25, 1957 — January 15, 2022

With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Elsie Ann Bueckert (Krause), on January 15, 2022, at the age of 64 years.

Elsie was born on September 25, 1957, to Jacob J. and Tina Krause in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. She grew up on a farm near Foam Lake, Saskatchewan.

She married Walter Bueckert November 17, 1979. She is survived her husband Walter of 42 years by her children Jennifer and (Marlin) Birkland, Jason and (Leah) Bueckert; Grandchildren Katrina, Jersey, Zach, Amelia and Emet; Brothers Arthur and Alfred; Sisters Linda (Jerry) Stushnoff, Esther Larson, Adina and (Harvey) Pratt, Verna and (Raymond) Kollin, Carol and (Harvey) Bueckert; Several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Jacob J. and Tina Krause; Brothers Danny and Ernest; Brother-in-law Danny Larson, Sisters in law Linda Krause and June Krause.

She loved the Lord Jesus, and she became a Christian at a young age at a Barry Moore Crusade. Her life reflected her love for the Lord and her love for others. She put others first in all that she did. She was always very caring towards all and had a smile for everyone.

Carol remembered that she always loved all the animals on the farm, even had to give them all names. Especially her dog named Prince. She ALWAYS talked about Prince! She also loved her cows and chickens. One particular story was when she taunted the rooster and then had to run very fast because the rooster started chasing her. Her mom would also get after her because Elsie taught the chickens to untie shoelaces. She remembers Elsie teaching VBS one summer, but I can’t remember too many details. I think her 3 years at Bethany Bible school in Hepburn, Saskatchewan were important for her.

Elsie loved her flower gardens. She loved going to every flower and pond tour and take lots of pictures! She also loved starting plants from seed and would sell her extras. Elsie also loved collecting salt and pepper shakers. She kept Walter busy building shelving units to put them in. The last count was just over 1000 sets!

Elsie was first diagnosed with Cancer in October 2018. This is when her life changed. She had her ups and down throughout her cancer journey and the Doctors worked hard to ease her symptoms, until the Lord took her home.

A Big Special Thank You Goes Out to The Cancer Doctor Dr Osama Ahmed and all his staff. The Radiation Oncology Dr Philip H Wright and all his Staff. For all what they did for Elsie for the past 3 years at the Cancer Center.

Thank You to the Palliative care unit staff at St Paul’s Hospital where Elsie spent 4 weeks before been transfer to Hospice at Glengarda on January 8, 2022, where she passed away. Thank You to all the Staff at Hospice.
