Garnet Ernest Harvey

Garnet Ernest Harvey passed away on March 26, 2025, at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, after a courageous fight with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and good friend Dave.

Born July 9, 1971, at Brockville, Ontario, Garnet worked the last 18 years as an industrial electrician for Maple Leaf Foods, Saskatoon.

He loved his children, family, Church and his golfing. He was well loved by his friends and golfing buddies.

Garnet is survived by his children Julie, Shawna, and Nicholas; children’s mother Gina Eddy; his mother Sharon Newans; stepfather Dwayne Newans; and siblings Grant Harvey (Vicki Shea), Charlena Ruigrok (Harvey), (Dustin Ruigrok); Dwayne Newans Jr (Erika Lim), Darlena Holmes (Newans) (Bill Holmes); numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Many thanks for the loving kindness of the Staff at St. Paul’s Palliative Unit.

Thank you for all the support given by his church family, particularly Pastor and Bishop Dehod.

Thank you to all that visited Garnet while in the hospital, especially those from his work. Thanks is not enough for everyone who covered us all with their prayers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on April 4, 2025, in the New Life Church, 202 Cardinal Crescent, Saskatoon, SK.
