It is with great sadness we announce the passing of George Franklin Galambos born May 6, 1945, in Windsor, Ontario. He passed away on November 30, 2024, at RUH in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
George worked many jobs over the years but retired from Saskatoon Co-Op after 35 years. He was an active member with the Knights of Columbus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary church in Martensville, Saskatchewan (his second family.)
George & Emmalene were married on December 29, 1973, in St. Brieux, Saskatchewan.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Emmalene (Kinns) of 50 years. Sons, Richard (Rachel), Paul (Colleen) and daughter Lisa. His grandchildren Asher, Kase, Aria, Anna and Ben, Jade, Jessica, Madisyn and Danica. In-laws Shirley Galambos, Irene (Gerald) Assie, Joseph Kinns, Ernest (Amber) Kinns, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
George was predeceased by his parents, Joseph & Mary (Kajner) Galambos. Sisters Irene (Frank Danku), Elizabeth (Bill Zibin), brothers Joseph, Edwin, Edward, and parents-inl-aw Joseph & Dorothy (Plummer) Kinns.
The family would like to thank Martensville and Saskatoon Ambulance for their kind attention to George’s needs. Thank you to all the staff, doctors and nurses at RUH for all their kindness and excellent care they provided.
With keeping with George’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. The Family held a Graveside Service on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024, at St. Brieux Cemetery, St. Brieux, Saskatchewan.
