A business owner, carpenter, problem solver; Grant truly always wanted to help people. He grew up north of Alexis Creek at Alexis Lake, BC, spending much of his childhood outdoors with horses, helping his parents run a fishing and hunting camp, and spending time on the lake. He was a great father, always dedicated to helping his kids with sports and homework. He loved to fix things – carpentry was his passion and he spent many hours taking on home improvement projects. He savoured opportunities to spend time outdoors, especially camping. He also loved blues music and attending local shows and music festivals. As a local business owner, Grant truly cherished helping others and meeting new people in the community. In his final months, he found pleasure in his daily walks and he always warmed at the sight and visits with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Angèlle, children Sarah (Brett) and Graeme (Dielle), grandchildren Claire, Mason, and Callum, brothers Scott (Joan) and Rory and their families, and his first wife Sandra.
