Greg Thoms passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on December 17, 1952, Greg was a hardworking man who dedicated 35 years of his life to CN, mostly as a welder.
Greg married the love of his life, Barb, on November 6, 1976. Together, they built a family that became his pride and joy. Greg is survived by his three children, Kimberly (Jason) Greer, Kristen (Jody Scott) Thoms, and Curtis Thoms, as well as his six grandchildren, Madden, Mackenzie, Colin, Liam, Nixon, and Kaytis. He is also survived by seven of his eight siblings.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Lena Thoms, and his in-laws, Steve and Doreen Borisko.
In his spare time, Greg was a true supporter of the underdog, with a love for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays. He also enjoyed watching old movies, especially westerns. If there was a cowboy on the screen, you could bet Greg was watching.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Ann's Senior Citizens Village, where Greg found comfort and care in his final years.
Donations can be made online at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/28225 or by mailing a cheque to 2910 Louise Street, Saskatoon, SK S7J 3L8.
