Harvey Wagner

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce Harvey Wagner, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 90.

He was born to John and Martha on July 28, 1933, on a farm outside Hague, Saskatchewan, where he was raised alongside his 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Harvey was always a hard worker and after leaving the farm he took on several construction positions before starting his own successful long-haul trucking company, Harvey Wagner Trucking Ltd.

In 1956, Harvey married his forever loving wife, Maria (Fehr) Wagner. Harvey and Maria were married for 67 wonderful years and had 3 children Curtis, Clayton, and Angela. 

Harvey loved spending time with his family at his cabin at Shell Lake, where many hours were spent out on the lake fishing, taking his kids and eventually his grandkids water skiing and tubing and spending time with friends playing cards in the evening. 

After he retired, Harvey took up golf and while he may not have been a pro, he sure practiced like one and could be found most days at Holiday Park. He also loved travelling with Maria, particularly to Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Arizona. As Harvey got older, the travelling turned into long afternoons at home with Maria doing puzzles and watching t.v.

Harvey was the rock of his family and will be missed immensely. He made himself available for everyone and was always true to his word. We will miss Harvey’s corny jokes and that, even if he told the joke a hundred times, he still laughed like it was the first. Harvey was strong in his faith, and it is from this we draw comfort as we know that he was a good man and will be welcomed into Heaven with open arms.

Harvey is survived by his wife Maria, 2 sons Curtis and Clayton, 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Sadly, Harvey was predeceased by his daughter Angela.

Harvey, we love you, will miss you and are just so thankful to have the time with you that we did. 

The funeral will be held at Cornerstone Church, 315 Lenore Drive, Saskatoon, Thursday, Feb 8th at 11am. Following the service there will be a lunch and the burial in Neuanlage, for those that want to attend shortly after.
