A Life Well Lived, Full of Laughter, Compassion, and Generosity.
Heidi Strelioff, nee Burchby, was born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan. At three months old, Heidi’s family moved to the Nipawin area, where she graduated high school. In the fall of 1999, Heidi moved to Lethbridge, where she obtained her Diploma in Marketing and Communications. Heidi worked many jobs before she landed at NORAC where she met the love of her life, Sean Strelioff, whom she married in 2009. Heidi and Sean had two rambunctious boys, Kendrix (2013) and Brixton (2015). Heidi's family was her greatest treasure, bringing her immeasurable joy.
She blessed her family by passing on her love of nature. Nothing brought her more pleasure than being among the trees and spotting a deer. Her passion for animals was evident in how she loved her precious dogs, Earl and Yeti. Heidi not only found joy while cross-country skiing, taking in the trails, or being on the water, but she also found peace. This is where she felt spiritually connected. Spirituality was core to Heidi's being.
Heidi's influence was far-reaching. She valued all people, collecting friends from every era and aspect of her life. Her ability to make each person feel valued, heard, and worthy was a testament to her character. She knew how to bring the fun, her infectious smile lighting up every room she entered.
A well-organized space brought the biggest smile to Heidi's face. Every time you talked to her, she was either organizing a space in her home or sending reels on organization to her peeps. To Sean's dismay, either organizational systems or books were sent via Amazon daily. She loved her books, especially fantasy! Bring on the werewolves, vampires, shift changers, and dragons.
Heidi's passions did not end there; she loved to immerse herself in all things creative. You would frequently find her painting, writing poetry, and creating multimedia pieces. She relished trying new art forms - the messier, the better. She passed this love on to her sons, who also enjoy creating masterpieces.
Heidi's greatest masterpiece was her family. She poured love, patience, laughter, and time into shaping the foundation of her family. To Heidi, family was everything. She is survived by her loving husband, Sean, and their two sons, Kendrix and Brixton. She will also be greatly missed by her mother, Therese, and siblings Rodney (Linda), Juanita (David), Kimberly (Marc), and Christina, father-in-law Bill, mother-in-law Peggy, sisters–in–law Sacha (Ryan), Ashlee (Josh), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Heidi is predeceased by her father, Kenneth.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 7th, 2025, 1:00 p.m., at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 300 8th Avenue South, Martensville, SK.
