It is with much sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Helen (nee Gerbrandt) MARTENS in her home with family at her side, on January 13th, 2022. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at 2pm at the Bergthaler Mennonite Church in Warman SK. Helen was born on November 12, 1942 to Jacob B and Justina (Janzen) Gerbrandt.
Helen was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Dave E Martens on August 15, 2012. She will be deeply missed by her children Sandra (Kevin), Wayne (Kate), Jamie. Her grandchildren Matthew (Kerri), Clinton, Nick, Logan, Rylee (Nick), Hunter, Kyle, Katerina, Anthony, Arianna and her great grandchildren Julie and Colby.
Our mother was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Helen was ready to help anyone especially family, may it be by giving them a ride, bringing them a coffee or home baked goodies, or just a phone call to see how they were doing. Helen was a seamstress most of her life and a housewife. She always found time to garden, bake and looked forward to her family coming home for meals, mom always made more than enough for everyone.
