With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Helen Neufeld (Willms) on August 28, 2022, at the age of 97 years.

Helen was born in Nikolayevka, Siberia in 1925 and immigrated to Canada with her parents Helena and John Willms in October of that year. Helen spent her early years in Dundurn, Saskatchewan.

She is predeceased by her husband John Reuben Neufeld and survived by her son Edwin Neufeld (Anne) and her daughter Reny Loewen (Dennis) and her grandchildren Michael Neufeld, Joel Loewen, Lisa Hubbard, Carmen Gamble, and Paul Neufeld. She had 9 great grandchildren.

Helen worked at the University of Saskatchewan bookstore for 21 years, retiring in 1990. Helen loved doing crafts, sewing and quilting for her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren adored her, and they spent many hours together on holidays and at the lake. Helen was always up for an adventure and visited Israel, Jordan and Egypt.

She lived a long and meaningful life and slipped away peacefully on August 28, 2022, to be with her Lord. She will be dearly missed.

A private family memorial was held for Helen. Arrangements were entrusted to Martens Warman Funeral Home (306)934-4888.
