Jake Fehr

Dad was born on December 7, 1936, to Jacob and Helen (Janzen). He was raised on a farm in the Hepburn area along with 12 siblings. He met Elizabeth Teichroeb in 1960, and they were married on June 25, 1961. They moved to B.C. and made their life there for 34 years raising 3 children together.

Dad worked as a sawmill worker in Williams Lake and then in Cloverdale as a groundskeeper and building maintenance alongside Elizabeth for 20 years.

They moved back to the Saskatoon area in 1995. Dad and Mom were building superintendents in a seniors complex till Dads retirement in 2002. Dad’s faith and his family were very important to him, but he also enjoyed visiting with people and working in his workshop in his free time.

In 2021 Dad began showing signs of dementia and eventually needed more care which prompted him moving to North View Personal Care Home in December 2023. Dad was slowly slipping away and went into palliative care and peacefully passed away at the care home on October 5, 2024.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, daughter Ruby (Tom Fehr), sons Dennie, Norm (Anna Hamm), 8 grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren.

Jake's Funeral Service will start at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, October 11, 2024 in Martens Warman Funeral Home, 402 Central Street West, Warman, SK. Interment to follow at the Schoenwiese Cemetery on Township Rd 404 in Osler District, SK.
