In Loving Memory of James Arthur Cobbs

James Arthur Cobbs, 71 years and 4 days old, passed away on September 8th, 2023, he is survived by his devoted son, Jamieson Cobbs, and remembered for the lasting impact he made throughout his remarkable life.

Born and raised in North Battleford, James embraced his passion for music from an early age. His rhythmic talents on the drums resonated with countless people, and he cherished every moment spent jamming in front of both intimate gatherings and large audiences. James’ musical spirit remained a defining part of his identity throughout his journey.

James embarked on a long and successful career as a truck driver, serving several companies, including Loomis Courier Services and T&T Trucking. His dedication to his work was unwavering, earning him numerous awards and accolades, including a remarkable achievement of amassing millions of miles on the road without a single accident. Rain, sleet, or snow, James never missed a beat, exemplifying his conscientious and hardworking nature.

James is predeceased by his loving partner of over 30 years, Debbie Mitchell, whose memory he held dear in his heart. Together, they shared a bond that inspired all who knew them.

He also leaves behind his Son, Jamieson Cobbs, his first wife Denise Crawford, wonderful friends Bert & Cindy Gitsel, and many, many co-workers, friends, acquaintances and random humans he spread joy or a laugh to along the way. James leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and joy. He touched the lives of countless friends, acquaintances, co-workers, and strangers with his warm spirit and a ready smile. To those who had the privilege of knowing him, James was a beacon of positivity and an enduring source of happiness.
