It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Joseph at the age of 88. He is predeceased by his parents John and Helena Pokrywka. Joseph was born in Majdan Poland, married Katherine and had two children Stanley (Maureen) and Maria (Guy).
They were farming in Poland and moved to Saskatoon in 1972. He worked at Empire Meats till its closure. He enjoyed lawn bowling, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. He spent the last several years at St. Joseph Home where he was able to receive the quality care that he deserved.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A private family Prayer Service will be held Tuesday April 27, 2021. A private Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday April 28th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery.
