It is with an incredibly heavy heart, that we announce the passing of Joshua, a much-loved son, brother, and best friend to many, who left us on April 28, 2023. Joshua’s bright smile and infectious laugh will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Joshua had a passion for cooking and spent endless hours in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes and concoctions. He loved nothing more than sharing his creations with loved ones and watching their faces light up with joy.
His partner, Lowell and fur baby, Bear were the center of Josh’s world, and he was extremely excited to plan his future around them and building his home. He once told me he never felt more accepted in one place than he did in Shaunavon.
Joshua was the funniest person in the room and could always find a way to make people laugh, even in the toughest of times. He had a heart of gold and treated everyone like family.
But more than anything else, Joshua will be remembered for his infectiously positive spirit and his incredible sense of humor. He had the most amazing laugh and loved nothing more than to make others laugh too. He delighted in prank scaring his friends and family, always ending in fits of laughter and sharing of the videos.
Joshua is survived by his partner, Lowell, his mother Patricia, stepfather Wayne, father Jeff, stepmother Vanessa, his brothers JJ Harrower and Shawn Lindsay, his sisters Courtney Lindsay, Kristin Lindsay, Kayla Lindsay, Sarah Yates, and Melissa Yates, his maternal grandmother Pearl Marshall paternal grandparents Dot and Frank Yates, as well as his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Joshua’s passing is a tremendous loss for all those who were lucky enough to get to know him. To say Joshua will be missed is an understatement. He was a bright light in our lives, a true joy to be around, and a constant reminder of the power of love and laughter.
We will forever cherish his memory and the incredible impact he had on all of us. He will never be forgotten, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched. Rest in peace, Joshua.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, 5:30 p.m., at the Elks Hall, Shaunavon, SK. Please join us to celebrate a few of Josh’s favourite things; there will be a supper, speeches, karaoke and dancing.
