(Judith) Maureen Wiebe, born July 3, 1946 in Saskatoon, passed away quietly in her sleep in the early hours of May 18, 2023. Her final months were spent in the gracious care of Central Haven Nursing Home in Saskatoon. Pre-deceased by her parents, Frank and Edith Wiebe, brother Darryl, brother-in-law Brian, sister-in-law Hilda, she is survived by three sisters Pat Horner, Jackie Vickson (Alf), Donna Lozinsky (Len), three brothers, Doug (Judy), Del (Angel), Dean (Linda) and several nieces and nephews.

She is remembered for her feisty spirit, her determined effort to live independently, and her quick, witty sense of humour. A particularly happy time for Maureen was the several years she spent working in the CBC cafeteria in Vancouver. Her friends/heroes there included Vicky Gabereau and Ian Hanamansing (CBC personnel) along with Pastor Ken Shigamatsu of Tenth Avenue Alliance Church. She was a regular blood donor, having given over 100 times. She was a faithful fan of the Blue Jays, and loved knitting throw blankets and giving them away.

The family expresses special thanks to Central Haven Nursing home in caring for Maureen, as well as to all those who showed her love, respect and friendship during her life. A private interment service will take place at a later date at Patience Lake Cemetery.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with the care and arrangements for Maureen Wiebe.
