With deep sorrow, as well as with much gratefulness we announce the passing of Judy Dyck, aged 76, to be with her Saviour in Heaven on August 21, 2021.
Judy will be greatly missed and forever loved by her husband of 56 years, Ted Dyck; her children and grandchildren: Tracy (Trace), Parker (Rachel), Carter and Kaci; Royce (Tracy), Gabe and Pryor. Judy was predeceased by her eldest son Terry.
Judy was born on July 5, 1945, to Ben and Linda Martens, the 3rd oldest of 11 children, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Mom always had a very strong faith in God. She walked closely with him. She was baptized on August 7, 1966, in Philadelphia MB Church. I remember growing up, often seeing Mom spending time with Jesus in the morning, reading her Bible. She loved to memorize scripture. If I remember correctly, she memorized Psalm 119, and many other verses.
Judy married Ted Dyck on October 2, 1965. They worked together on the farm, raising their family. Mom played an integral part on the farm, from bringing meals to the field, running for parts, taking care of a big garden, which supplied our family with healthy food and keeping an immaculate house. Together as a family, we enjoyed camping, skiing, playing games and frisbee. After the kids left the house, Dad and Mom enjoyed travelling together. They visited Alaska, the East Cost, West Coast, Cuba and Germany.
Mom also loved to paint, play tennis, golf and ski. She was an amazing cook and baker and always enjoyed a good cup of coffee. She loved her family and was always so excited when we could be together, whether it was to celebrate someones birthday or to go on holidays together.
“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praised her.” Proverbs 31:28
