Justin Heimbecker

April 6, 1976 — July 8, 2022

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Justin Heimbecker on July 8, 2022, at the age of 46 years. Justin was born in La Ronge, SK.

He was predeceased by his mother, Janet Heimbecker and his father Tom (TAS) Sanderson and his grandfather/dad Raymond Heimbecker, his aunty Karen Heimbecker-Haugen and uncle David Heimbecker. Justin and his brother Danny were raised by their grandparents. They spent their younger years in LaRonge and later moved to Shell Lake and Saskatoon, SK. Justin was a semi-pro golfer and spent many days on the course with his golf buddies or fishing with his cousins and buddies. Justin moved to Langham, SK with his partner Josie in 2015.

He was currently working with BME in Ft. McMurray. He was a loving and committed father to his sons, Oliver and Russell who meant the world to him.  Those that knew Justin would describe him as a kind, gentle and caring soul who loved his children to the moon and back. They loved the outdoors and together they’d go camping and fishing. Justin was proud of Oliver’s golf swing and looked forward to many t-offs with the boys!

He loved playing catch with them, and Russell’s throwing arm brought a smile to his face. He was very proud of his boys and told them often. Justin loved his granny/mom Mary very much, and they visited granny often. Justin will be deeply missed by his sons Oliver and Russell, grandmother/mom Mary, brother Danny, uncle/brother Harvey Heimbecker (Berni), aunties/sisters Jean Oakley and Donna Heimbecker as well as numerous nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and BME colleagues.

A Celebration of Justin’s Life will be held at St. George’s Centre, 1235 20th St. W., Saskatoon, SK on Monday, July 18th at 11:00 AM. Following the service, CUMFI Local will host a lunch at the Gathering Place at 315 Ave. M. South. In lieu of flowers, we ask family and friends to make a donation to The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation or the Lac La Ronge Indian Band Woodland Wellness Centre. Mental health issues are serious factors in the lives of many and for people that experience loss, pain, distress, and trauma throughout their lives.  Love & Peace.

Arrangements entrusted to Martens Warman Funeral Home (306) 934-4888.
