With heartfelt sadness we announce that our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Katharina (Tena) Guenther went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 20, 2022, at the age of 92 years.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters Elaine (Dave) Pingert and Connie (Bill) Klassen; her grandchildren Alisha (Jason) Letkeman, Dustin Pingert (Amanda Reiman), Danielle Pingert (Mitchell Myers), Leah (Steven) Cusson and Brendan (Kayleigh) Klassen; her great grandchildren Dylan, Shelby, and Averie Pingert; Charlie, Morgan, and Nate Reiman; Jarren and Bentley Cusson; Adrian, Wyatt, and Adalynn Klassen; her sister Betty Martens; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, John Guenther; parents Peter and Agnes Bartsch; brothers Pete, Jake, and John; sisters Agnes, Susie, Mary, Helen, and Anne; and great granddaughter Melayna Cusson.
Mom was born to Peter and Agnes Bartsch on March 26, 1929, in the Village of Hochfeld SK. Mom’s family moved a few times and finally settled in Hague, SK, where she met her soulmate, John Guenther. They were married August 21, 1949.
She enjoyed listening to gospel music and watching televised church services. Mom was a prayer warrior and will be remembered for her faithfulness to God.
We are so grateful for your many prayers. Thank you to Dr Khayyam and the Staff at Porteous Lodge for the compassionate care you gave our Mom.

Visitation Monday February 28, 2022, 7pm to 8:30 pm at Martens Warman Funeral Home, 402 Central Street West, Warman, SK. Interment Tuesday, March 1, 2022, 10am at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Garden of the Old Rugged Cross, 210 Wess Road, Saskatoon, SK. Funeral Service Tuesday, March 1, 2022, 1pm at Evangelical Free Church, 3102 Laurier Dr, Saskatoon, SK.
