Kathy Niessen

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce Kathy Niessen passed away on Thursday, August 15th, 2024, at the age of 64 years, in Saskatoon, SK. 

Katherine Niessen was born on March 14th, 1960, to Jacob and Justina Friesen, at City Hospital in Saskatoon. She was the youngest of 6 children.

Mom and Dad, Joe Niessen were married on August 27, 1977. Mom was always a hard worker and kept the home spotless. She loved shopping and always looked amazing. She also loved to decorate and kept the house like a show home and always a few extra bedrooms all beautifully decorated and clean for when guests would come to stay. She loved hosting and making food for people, so much hospitality. 

She loved all of us dearly and will be missed intensely by all who knew her. It gives us comfort to know she is with her lord and savior Jesus Christ.

She was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Justina Friesen, her brothers Jake Friesen, Bill Friesen, sister-in-law Ann Skelding. She leaves behind her husband Joe; Jason (Chrissy); Jennifer (Calvin); grandchildren: Brooklynn and Brody Adryan (Aliyah), Jadon (Emily), Calum and Abigail. Sister; Mary (Ken) Burkevitch; Brothers; Abe (Linda) Friesen, and John Friesen; and sister-in-law Edna Friesen.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 23rd, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Warman Bergthaler Church, 206 2 Street, Warman, SK.
