Our dad and beloved grandpa passed away peacefully at home on April 27th, 2021 surrounded by his family who loved him so very much.
Ken was born July 13th, 1932 in Middle Lake Sk. He met and married Madeline Penner in 1958. Together they built a life of happy memories that included family and many friends. Ken was a heavy-duty machine operator who helped lay much of the infrastructure around many parts of Western Canada. When at home Ken was a handyman, a mechanic, a woodworker, a gardener and so much more. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix, build or grow and was always willing to provide his time and skills to family, friends or neighbours who needed help. He was pre-deceased by his wife Madeline in 2013 and is survived by his daughters Linda Hoeber, Layra (Scott) Farmer, Luaine (Garry) Emde as well his precious grandkids Michael, Brady and Katie.
Special thanks to his dear friend Randy and his neighbours who he considered family Ryan, Mahli, Abe and Gus Meili as well as Dr. Sami & Janice from the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.
In accordance with Ken’s wishes, there will be no funeral. We will remember Dad at a later date sitting around the fire at the lake, a cold Canadian in hand and our hearts filled with love.
If so inclined, you may make a donation in his memory to the Saskatoon Children’s Hospital.
