t is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our brother, brother-in-law and uncle Kevin James Ohlheiser. Kevin passed away at his home in Saskatoon Monday November 4, 2024, at the age of 65.
Kevin was born November 9th, 1958, in Gull Lake to Bob & Betty Ohlheiser. He attended school in Gull Lake and throughout his school years, he enjoyed many activities including playing football, hockey & curling.
After school Kevin went to work for Arnold Louma in Gull Lake and then Central Irrigation in Taber, AB, Swift Current and Saskatoon.
When Kevin wasn't working, he enjoyed golfing with friends or family. He was a World War buff and loved reading or watching anything to do with WW I or II. He liked relaxing in front of the tv watching football, baseball, curling, golf, and his favorite sport was hockey; his favorite team being The Montreal Canadiens. He discovered a love for cooking and would experiment with different recipes that many of us got to enjoy.
Kevin's true passion was music. When he was still in school, he taught himself how to play the bass guitar and belonged to many bands throughout his life both in and out of school. He was fortunate to be able to travel around Canada and down into the States with a couple of his bands. Many of his friends and family got to enjoy listening to him play whether at a school dance or a cabaret. He always felt the most comfortable with that bass guitar in his hands.
Those left to cherish Kevin's memory are brothers Brian (Brenda) Ohlheiser and Dean (Deb) Ohlheiser; sisters Donna (Dean) Clarke and Jayne Ohlheiser; nieces Lisa Peacock and her kids Autumn & Declan; Miranda (Tyler Veilleux) Ohlheiser and her kids Judah, Colby & Aliah and Shae-Lyn Clarke; nephews Tyson (Steph) Parsons and their kids Madeline, Nora & Maisie; Brendan (Reena) Clarke; Malcolm Ohlheiser and Maxwell Ohlheiser; his aunt Helen McLellan, his numerous cousins and the many friends that he made throughout his life. He was predeceased by his mom Betty in 2010 and his dad Bob in 2018.
Kevin's final resting place will be in Gull Lake and the family will be having a graveside service in the spring of 2025. His final care has been entrusted to Martens Warman Funeral Home in Warman.
