Lester Peter Billette, born on July 22, 1969, departed from this world on September 27, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for his family and friends
Lester is survived by his loving spouse, Courtney Durocher. He was a devoted stepfather Alyse and Erica, and a beloved son to his mother, Anastasialette. He was also a cherished brother to Wilbert (Gladys), Smally, El, Laurette (Russell), Frankie (Cheryl), Vanessa, Clayton, Cory, and Amanda, who will all remember him fondly.
His family extends to his mother-in-law, Alice Durocher, and includes his Uncle Norman and Auntie Lena, whose ties to Lester provide a comforting sense of community. His legacy further lives on through numerous nieces and nephews, including Joan, Hali, Sharona, Cote, Kashia, Brianna, Kyle, Tianna, Jenelle, Roanne, Adrienna, Shianna, Melanie, Donovan, Kailyn, Amber, Colter, and Denisi, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Lester is preceded in death by his father, Solomon Billette, his daughter, Larissa Billette, his sister, Joan Campbell, and his niece, Sheena Billette. Their absence is felt deeply by all who knew him.
Lester's life was characterized by his unwavering commitment to his family and his capacity for bringing joy into the lives of those around him. As we remember him, we are reminded of the profound impact he made and the love he cultivated throughout his journey. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Wake Service will begin on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the Buffalo River Dene Nation Hall. Lester's Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Dillon, SK. Interment to follow at the Dillon Cemetery.
