Lilianne Yvonne Bisson, age 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29th, while surrounded by her family in the comfort of her own home.
Mom was a strong and resilient lady. She endured many hardships in life but always managed to find joy and comfort in the simple things. She was a loving mother and grandmother to 8 children, 20 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren, and she was proud of each of them in her own unique and special way.
In her early days, mom thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her siblings, going berry picking, fishing, gardening, and canning her fresh goods. She passed on her love of the outdoors and nature to all her children. As her health deteriorated later in life, mom was blessed with children and grandchildren who worked tirelessly to ensure that she stayed in her own home. Despite her health struggles, mom still enjoyed baking, caring for her flowers, feeding ‘her’ birds, going to a bingo session with family and friends, and taking your money in a friendly game of cards. Occasional trips to the farmer’s market in the summertime to buy fresh veggies and fruits were also near and dear to her heart. Mom also looked forward to her yearly family trips to Waskesiu, where she would feed the squirrels on the deck, go shopping, have ice cream with the family, and watch the wildlife roam freely about. Future family trips to Waskesiu will not be the same without her.
Mom leaves her children and their families to celebrate her memory: Bernice and children Cindy, Jason, Nicole and Amanda; Roland (Tracey) and children Clayton, Kolby, Shayna; Armand (Lynn) and children Preston and Tyrell; Darlene (Carl) and children Sarah and Ashton; Rosalinde (David) and children Madison, Ryland and Brielle; Pauline (Glenn) and children Mackenzie, Brendan and Tanner; and Lori (Chad) and children Logan and Lexi. Also left to mourn her passing is her beloved brother, Roy, and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mom has now joined many of her loved ones in heaven, including her husband, Robert Bisson, one son, Roger Bisson, an infant grandson, Robert, her mother, father, 4 sisters, and 6 brothers.
Mom exuded courage and strength right until the very end and will be missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Martens Warman Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care and arrangements for Lilianne Bisson.
