Loretta will be lovingly remembered & dearly missed by her 22 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. Loretta also leaves to mourn her many family & friends whom she loved dearly. Loretta was predeceased by: her father and mother, Paul and Maryanne Ledoux, four brothers Harvey, Wilfred, Leonard, and Eugene, one sister, Marlene and her Princess, her daughter, Patricia.

Loretta was born May 22, 1939 in Muskeg Lake Cree Nation to Paul and Maryanne Ledoux. She attended the Duck Lake Residential School for a number of years before venturing out on her own and making her mark in this world.  Loretta lived in many places in and around Saskatchewan and Alberta which provided her with the opportunity to work in a variety of jobs and meet many wonderful people who became her lifelong friends. Up until her passing Loretta worked for the Saskatoon Tribal Council as an Elder; she was very honoured and proud to hold this position with STC as it allowed her to do what she loved which was to help people, pray, and share her teachings.

Loretta’s family meant the world to her. She was always happy when she was surrounded by her loved ones whether if it was at a family meal in their Saskatoon home or a big get together at their home away from home in Wakaw Lake. Rest assured there would always be plenty to eat and drink, good singing and dancing tunes, and lots and lots of laughs.

The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the nurses and doctors at St. Paul’s Hospital, fourth floor, for the compassion and outstanding care of Mom. As a family we would also like to express our gratitude and thanks to all who share in our loss. We appreciate all your prayers. Your many acts of kindness do not go unnoticed. God bless each and everyone of you.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Private Graveside Family Service will be held on Wednesday, April 7 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Saskatoon where the family will lay her ashes to rest. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family in the summer at Wakaw Lake. Loretta Mary Wilson will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her; she will be forever in our heartsMom/Gma/“Honey” as Bob would say, this is not goodbye, it is until we meet again. Fly high our beautiful Angel.
We love you Mom!
