The family of Louise Scott is saddened to announce her passing on Friday June 24, 2022, at the Hospice at Glengarda, at the age of 78 years.

Louise was born on October 11, 1943, in Nipawin SK. to Elizabeth (Zimmer) and Melvin Morton.  She completed her schooling in Pontrilas and Nipawin SK. While in high school, Louise met Ken Scott. They were married in 1963 after she completed nursing school at the Union Hospital in Lloydminster.

In 1966, they moved to Saskatoon, where they raised their family.  Louise worked at St. Paul’s Hospital for 20 years before retiring in 1997.  She will be remembered for her excellence in sewing, knitting, amazing handicrafts and community volunteer work.  Wedding, bridesmaids, and graduation dresses were always on the go.

After retirement, Ken and Louise moved to Whalen Bay SK. where they turned the family cabin into a home and resided there until moving to Warman in 2013 when Louise began having health issues.  She was later diagnosed with PSP.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth; 2 daughters, Michelle (Roy) Sondershausen, and Leane (Warren) Ramstead; 2 grandchildren, Cassandra (Dan) Bertrand, and Andrew Sondershausen (Kaitlyn Monteiro); and 1 great granddaughter, Chloe Bertrand.  She was predeceased by her parents, brother, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Darren Chew, the staff of the 4700 ward at RUH, and the Hospice at Glengarda for their care and compassion.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice at Glengarda www.stpaulshospital.orgor any charity of your choosing.

A private family interment at St. John’s  Columbarium will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Martens Funeral Home in Warman 306-934-4888.

When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room.  Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little – but not for long.  And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that once we shared.  Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we must all take, And each must go alone.
It’s all part of the master plan, A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know,
Laugh at all the things we used to do.  Miss me, but let me go.
