Marlys May Heide

Marlys May Heide was born to John C. and Margaret Heide on Oct. 29, 1934 near Hepburn. She spent her early years on the family farm, growing up with two older sisters. She mastered gardening and canning, and also stooking grain during harvest.

After completing her education at Hudson Bay School, Marlys found employment at the Bessborough Hotel in Saskatoon. She enjoyed many years there, rising to the position of payroll account manager. She remained there until her retirement. During this time, she developed a special, enduring friendship with William Wilson.

Marlys loved laughter and being together with family. She cared deeply for her parents, visiting them often, and, in later years, after her father's death, returned to Hepburn to care for her mother. Marlys continued to reside there until the time of her death on October 13, 2024.

Marlys was known for her devotion to God's Word and for her personal faith that sustained her throughout her life. We praise God for His relationship with her and look forward to, one day, seeing her again.

Marlys Viewing will be held 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Martens Warman Funeral Home, 402 Central Street West, Warman, SK. Following her Viewing will be her Graveside Service at the Hepburn Cemetery, Hepburn, SK.
