It is with a great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Kendall at the age of 84. Mary Ann is survived by her husband Allan, daughters Kathy (Clive) and Wendy (Curtis); grandchildren Kendall (Corey), Casie (Chad); great-grandson Jackson; niece Joan and nephew Sidney (Nicole); as well as her sister-in-laws, their husbands, and many friends.

Mary Ann was predeceased by her parents Annie and Fred, sister Bella (John), and nephew-in-law John.

She was born in Sheho, Saskatchewan where she enjoyed Ukrainian dancing, skating and tobogganing with friends down the hill by her house. Mary Ann moved to Saskatoon to attend high school, and then, after graduating from nursing school, she worked as Assistant Head Nurse at Saskatoon City Hospital.

Mary Ann loved to read books and was a very talented knitter. She was also an avid bowler with membership in several leagues. Mary Ann won numerous bowling trophies and just missed out on a perfect score. She was also a self-taught typist, and in addition to working in a medical office, she enjoyed typing essays for university students.

Mary Ann relished mapping the route of the road trips she and Al often took across the prairies and beyond.

She recently celebrated her 84th birthday and 60th wedding anniversary.

Mary Ann was a loving wife, adoring mother, and doting grandmother whose “so cute” great grandson brought her much joy.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Keedwell Assisted Living Centre for their kind and professional care for Mary Ann over the last couple of years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice.

The family will be holding a small, private service.
